Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed the other side of Alvaro Morata’s game following the 1-0 win over Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Conte said the striker needs to be more “clinical” in front of goal.

Morata,24, was signed from Real Madrid last summer and since his arrival, he has been a regular in the Chelsea line up due to the departure of Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid and he has contributed immensely to the recent success of the Stamford Bridge outfit.

The former Real Madrid striker scored his seventh Premier League goal this season, with a well-placed header that flew past David De Gea in the second half but failed to find the back of the net late in the game, when he was set up on goal by Willian.

Conte, wants Morata to be more clinical in games, he could have doubled Chelsea lead towards the end of the game.

“Tonight Morata had a good game and showed he is strong physically and has good technique.

If I have to find a negative, he has to score more and be more clinical. But, step by step, having changed to a younger average age in the squad, it means we have to have patience and try to improve them.”

Morata is expected to feature for Spain in this weekend friendly game against Costa Rica.
