Eden Hazard has had a stellar start to the season finding the back of the net 7 times already. The Chelsea main-man has been long linked to Spanish giants, Real Madrid and this season its no different.
However, before deciding on his future at Stamford Bridge, Hazard would be looking to win something meaningful with Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri this season. Despite all the recent flirtation between Real Madrid and Hazard, the Belgian has assured that he wouldn’t be forcing his way out like his fellow Belgian compatriot Thibaut Courtois.
Hazard was linked with a move to Real Madrid all through the summer and after his comments during the World Cup, these rumours became even stronger.
On the other hand, Real Madrid have been vocal about their interest in the Belgian winger after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. However, this move has not happened due to the reluctance of both the parties involved to force through a deal.
Hazard’s individual brilliance this week powered Chelsea to the top of the table along with Liverpool & Manchester City. However, Chelsea’s quest of winning the Premier League this season would be left hanging if Hazard opts to make a move the Santiago Bernabeu this winter.
The two-time Premier League winner has carried the form he displayed at the World Cup into the 2018/19 Premier League season. The attacker recently voiced his opinion regarding his future plans at Stamford Bridge.
It is certain that Hazard is out there to have a great time in the blue jersey, however, winning the Premier League title would be a key element deciding the winger’s future in London. The Mirror has quoted Hazard saying –
I think he (Sarri) is a great manager. When you play football, you want to play for these kinds of managers because the way he wants us to play is the way that I want to play.
We had some great results in the past so I can’t say that the managers before weren’t good, but I think in terms of football and the way we are playing, yes, this is the best football since I have been at Chelsea.
A lot of pass and move. Then we also have good players in our team so that’s why we are playing this great football.
So I am just thinking about this season. I want to win something with him and then we will think about what happens at the end of the season but now, in my head, it is just play and enjoy football then try to win the games.
Post the conclusion of the International break, an uphill task in the form of Manchester United awaits Chelsea.
