Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has refused to rule out a return to his former club Arsenal when his contract at the Stamford bridge expires at the end of the season, according to the Expresss.
The 31-year-old spent eight seasons at Arsenal winning the FA Cup in 2005 and becoming captain before returning to his boyhood club Barcelona in 2011.
The midfielder now in Chelsea has fallen down the pecking order this season, so much so that he has failed to make a single Premier league start this season, with his appearances restricted to cup games.
He looks unlikely to get an extension to his deal which runs out at the end of the season and could leave the club in January if the situation continues.
He has been attracting interests from Italy, with Milan rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan both registering interest. However, he admits that a possible return to the Emirates would be too good to turn down.
“Arsenal will always be in my heart and I will never forget them so why not return. You never know,” he said.
A return to the Emirates is very unlikely as Arsenal on their part are not lacking midfielders in central positions, with the numbers there so much that Ozil has played mostly on the flank this season. However, with Ramsey set for an exit from Arsenal, Fabregas might just be considered to replace him.
