According to accusations first revealed by French news outlet Mediapart, Chelsea could be hit with a mega transfer ban.

The issue relates to Chelsea signing underaged players against the rules laid out by FIFA.

FIFA have rigid rules when it comes to signing minors, i.e. players under 18-years-old.

One way to sign such minors is if FIFA provide specific permission to clubs.




Such permission may be awarded if a player’s parents move from one country to another because of work.

Another reason for FIFA to give such permission is if a player is between 16 to 18 and they move within the European Union, provided the football education is deemed to be at the highest level.

Several clubs have memorably been punished by FIFA for flouting these rules. They have included Barcelona, ​​Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

According to Mediapart, focus has now shifted onto Chelsea.
