Eden Hazard: Chelsea star makes admission in wake of Everton draw - See what he said

Hazard could not provide the creative spark which Chelsea needed to break down Everton as the Blues had to settle for a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon.

The blank means Hazard has now gone four games without a goal for Chelsea after his blistering start to the season.

The Belgian went through a purple patch of 10 goals in as many games up until the beginning of October, hitting the heights everyone knew he was capable of.

The Chelsea No 10 is cutting a more frustrated figure of late, however, and Hazard claims that is because he is still suffering from the summer’s World Cup in Russia.

talkSPORT after the stalemate with Everton.

“But I think I’m in good condition to play.

“Last year I got an injury with my ankle for three months. So that’s why I’m fresh now.”

Hazard played 518 minutes at the World Cup as Belgium progressed to the semi-final stage.

His performances during the tournament cemented Real Madrid’s interest in him, which Hazard has spoken candidly about this season.

The 27-year-old has admitted that he wakes up some mornings feeling he wants to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid, and wakes up other mornings wanting to sign a contract extension with the west London club.

“When you are happy on the pitch you can try some things. I’m just enjoying myself,” Hazard continued.

“For the last seven years with Chelsea, I have always enjoyed myself.

“When I am on the pitch I try to give happiness, first to me and then to the fans who are watching the game.

“At the moment, we are doing well and that’s why I am doing well. So I am happy to play at the moment.”
