Eden Hazard has told Chelsea that he will not be leaving to join Real Madrid in the January transfer window, despite the fact he wants a switch to La Liga.

Hazard has been linked with a move to Madrid for the last few months after the Spaniards decided to finally cash in on Cristiano Ronaldo when they sold the Portuguese superstar to Juventus for £100 million.

But despite all the speculation, despite all the crazy rumours and announcements, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri somehow worked his magic and convinced Hazard to stay at Stamford Bridge for at least one more season, as he did not want to lose such a big player in the first few weeks of his reign at the club.

However, Hazard has recently admitted that he believes a move to La Liga help him win the Champions League and Ballon D’or, opening the door for Madrid to make a swoop for the Belgian in the January transfer window, as they need someone to help turn their disappointing season around.

But he has given Chelsea a real boost by admitting that he has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge in the January window, telling a reporter: “No”, when he was asked about a possible winter deal.

Chelsea have helped Hazard develop into one of the best players in world football, and have also helped him capture a few trophies on the way, so the fact he wants to stay and help the club pick up some more silverware and get back into the top four shows how much he loves the club.

He could have done a Thibaut Courtois and forced through a move in the summer but he didn’t and now he will give 110 per cent until he finally packs his bags.
